The Flight of the phoenix
Long ago, on the Long forgotten Somerset and Dorset railway, just as it was about to close forever, An evil group
of diesels, led by their evil leader, set on a mission to oust steam traction from Britains railways forever! A series of
unfortunate events leads to the premature closure of the Somerset and Dorset railway.
Dai's adventure is not yet over, as he must continue to struggle on despite his
age to please his superiors, who regard him and others like him as "Old Technology". One final Unfortunate event secures
his fate for good.
Despite being sent to the scrapyards, Dai and others like him, are chosen to be granted a new lease of
life, but just as the old nightmares are beginning to fade, a new one begins...
The flight of the phoenix is a tale
of the struggle of Dai, an LMS 7F 2-8-0 locomotive, and his friends and colleagues as they fight against and old
enemy, and continue to fight for their right to survive.
